Cascade Clamp - Established in Portland, Oregon in 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company started as a small machine store hiring only four individuals. Overall sales for that particular year amounted to about sixty thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless-steel pipe fittings, valves and various parts. During 5 years of operation, the business had expanded to forty staff and their yearly sales volume had risen to $330,000. These days, Cascade is among the top global manufacturers within the material handling industry.

Design and manufacturing of the company's initial hydraulic cylinder allowed this new company to aggressively pursue better business opportunities. Throughout the final 60 years, the trade of material handling has grown into a very sophisticated area with Cascade proudly playing a part in its progress. Cascade at the moment continues to develop as the premier provider of forklift accessories and different associated products. The company feels confident in their ability to be able to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding client's needs in the future and remaining aggressive within the world market.

During the 1950's, Cascade began to manufacture, design, and promote its hydraulic attachments. A new facility was constructed in 1956, to be able to accommodate all plant offices and operations in Portland, Oregon, which is still the company's present center of operations. Subsequent to fifteen years of business, total staff reached one hundred eighty staff and sales had reached almost $2,300,000.

1959 in Springfield, Sunnyvale a second production facility was built. The year 1960 marked Cascade's preliminary move into the global world of the material handling industry while the business recognized interest in England, Australia, and the Netherlands.

The company altered its name to Cascade Corporation in 1964. In the year 1965, Cascade went public with a preliminary offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. The business has expanded its manufacturing plants throughout the U.S. with areas in Springfield, Sunnyvale, Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon. Cascade merchandise are made globally due to numerous subsidiary operations. In 1994, a new plant was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European control center. This plant is built to be the essential customer service centre.

Continuing to develop, Cascade expanded their product offering further in the year 1996 and the year 1997 with the remarkable acquisition of five companies, together with the international best in forks, the Kenhar Corporation.
